VIII WEEK OF ITALIAN CUISINE IN THE WORLD IN BRISBANE

SCIM2023 inglese

The Italian Consulate in Brisbane is pleased to announce the program of events organized on the occasion of the VIII edition of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World, which this year will take place from November 13th to November 19th, in collaboration with the institutional partners and with the representative members of the local Italian community.

This year the theme of the Week dedicated to our cuisine is: “Dining with the Italian cuisine: well-being with taste”. The Italian taste at the table is unmistakable, and it is as unique as the ingredients used, precious treasures famous throughout the world such as our oils, our wines, our agricultural and dairy products, just to name a few examples.

The VIII Week of Italian Cuisine starts in Brisbane on Monday 13th November, with the Annual Gala Dinner organized by the Brisbane Section of the Accademia Italiana della Cucina, at chef Tony Percuoco’s Tartufo Restaurant. The event is by invitation from members of the Brisbane Section of the Academy.

Then, on Tuesday 14th November, there will be the “Bancarella Siciliana” Apericena, organized at  Gerbino’s Pasticceria by the Italian Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Queensland. This event will offer the opportunity to taste all the typical products of Trinacria. For information and reservations: ICCI QLD&NT Bancarella Siciliana – Aperitivo | Humanitix

On Friday 17th November, at the Club of the Associazione Nazionale Famiglie Emigrati (ANFE), the 20 Italian regions will be celebrated at the table: long tables festively set out for a delicious 5-course menu with pairings of wines and liqueurs, with as many culinary proposals as many regions are there in Italy! Finally, on Saturday 18th November,   the Brisbane Dante Alighieri Society organizes a cooking class, with chefs Mario and Rosalia, during which everyone will be able to get their hands in the dough and prepare tasty tortelli.  Forks up and buon appetito a tutti!
