The Consulate of Italy in Brisbane is located on 199 George Street, Level 8, Brisbane 4000, next to the Queen Street Mall, easy to access by public transportation (bus, ferry, train).

The Consulate was established by government decree on 6th of April 1961, that became official on the 1st of August 1961. Before that, there was a Honoray Consulate of Italy in Brisbane under the Consulate General of Italy in Sydney.

On the 25th of May 2019, Minister of Education and Industrial Relations of Queensland, Hon. Grace Grace, Deputy Mayor of the City of Brisbane, Cr. Krista Adams, Chief Magistrate His Honour Orazio Ray Rinaudo accompanied Consul Salvatore Napolitano in the official opening ceremony of the new offices of the Consulate of Italy in Brisbane.
