EMERGENCY LINE
In an emergency involving an Italian citizen in Queensland or in the Northern Territory, you can reach us during normal business hours and after hours, via the Consulate’s emergency telephone number: +61 417 600 441. This telephone line is reserved exclusively for emergencies involving a serious and immediate threat to the life or personal liberty of an Italian national (arrest, hospitalization, accidents, etc.), and not for requests for information about consular services. Non-emergency calls will be terminated to keep the line available for genuine emergencies.
Please note that this number is NOT for visa, passport or general inquiries, which are not considered emergencies and are processed during regular business hours.
In case of a life-threatening or time-critical situation, please dial 000 (triple zero) for Police, Fire or Ambulance.
