Born and raised in Castignano (AP), on hills of Italy’s Marche region, after the high school graduation in classical studies at “Francesco Stabili” school in Ascoli Piceno, Luna Angelini Marinucci obtained her degree in “Economics and Social Sciences” at Università Commerciale ” Luigi Bocconi” in Milan.

During her university years, she spent a term at Dartmouth College, in New Hampshire (U.S.A.), and then attended the last year of her master’s degree at HEC Business School in Paris, earning a double degree (Italian and French) in financial economics.

Luna began her career as a statistical analyst at the Bank of France in 2013, where she dealt with the behavioural strategies of French investor in foreign options’ trading.

She joined the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in 2014, working at the Department of Statistics and studying the possible alternative measures to per capita GDP, which also take into account the perceived well-being in addition to income and expenditure measures.

Luna entered the diplomatic career in November 2018. From February 2019 to April 2022, she served at the Directorate General for Italians Abroad and Migration Policies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Rome, where she was in charge of policies and initiatives for Italian communities abroad.

Starting from 3 May 2022, Luna Angelini Marinucci is the Consul of Italy in Brisbane, Australia, with territorial jurisdiction over the State of Queensland and over the Northern Territory.
