
The Consul
Since 20 May 2026, Giuseppe Di Murro serves as Consul of Italy in Brisbane.
He obtained a Master’s Degree in Law from LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome in 2015 and later completed a Master’s Degree in EU Foreign Policy and Diplomacy Studies at the College of Europe in Bruges in 2016.
Following success in the competitive examination, he entered the diplomatic service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in 2018. He served in the Directorate General for Italians Abroad and Migration Policies and in the Minister’s Cabinet – Legislative Office.
In 2021, he served as Second Secretary at the Permanent Representation of Italy to the European Union in Brussels. From 2022 to 2026, he served as First Secretary at the Embassy of Italy in Tokyo, where he was Head of the Consular Section and Head of the Cultural Section.
