Tropical Cyclone Alfred

Tropical Cyclone “Alfred” is expected to affect the south-east coast of Queensland and the north-east coast of New South Wales, between Thursday 6 and Friday 7 March 2025. At the moment, the risk area identified by the Bureau of Meteorology (Australia’s official weather forecasts & weather radar – Bureau of Meteorology) is between Cape Sandy to the north and Grafton to the south, including the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Byron Bay. Citizens are advised to exercise extreme caution, to strictly follow the instructions given by local authorities (Disaster Management | Queensland Government) and to avoid any travel, as well as to use the Queensland reporting site Queensland SES – Report an incident or to call the number 132500, in case of emergency, if you are in Queensland. For direct contact with the nearest Police and Fire Stations and/or to call an ambulance, dial triple zero (000).
