Honorary Vice Consul in Darwin

The Honorary Vice Consulate of Italy in Darwin is able to accept passport applications from Italian nationals residing in the Northern Territory. As a result, Italian nationals are therefore entitled to lodge their applications in Darwin without having to travel to Brisbane.
Italian nationals, who wish to apply for an Italian passport via the Darwin Office, will have to send this passport application form, by email to: darwin.onorario@esteri.it, duly signed (please do not scan passport photos with the form).
For minors, parents will need to complete this form.
The Honorary Vice Consulate in Darwin will then contact applicants to finalise the procedure, and will confirm an appointment where the applicant’s biometric data (fingerprints, photo and signature) will be taken and payment finalised.
Please consider that passports are printed in Brisbane and then mailed to the applicant’s address. Therefore, passports will not be issued immediately and could take a few weeks.
