National Unity and Armed Forces Day. Announcement of exhibition in Bundaberg

The traditional celebration of National Unity and Armed Forces Day and the commemoration of the fallen of all wars was held also this year in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The event, organized by the National Alpine Association of Brisbane section, with the collaboration of the local Fogolar Furlan at their headquarters in Pallara, took place on November 8 in the presence of Consul Salvatore Napolitano and with the attendance of the Comites and the main associations of the Italian community, although in a limited format in compliance with the anti-pandemic rules.

On the occasion, Consul Napolitano recalled the sacrifice of the Italian compatriots fallen for the freedom of their homeland and underlined the extraordinary role that the Italian Armed Forces continue to play on the Italian territory and in the world. The Consul also announced that from April 18th Hinkler’s Hall of Aviation of Bundaberg will host the photographic exhibition "Instant and Places of the Italian Front". The exhibition consists of photos from the Marzocchi archive from the Museo della Battaglia in Vittorio Veneto (TV) and honours the memory of the many “Knights of Vittorio Veneto” in Queensland.
