Consul Napolitano joined the many positive comments that were publicly addressed in the last days to Lord Mayor Quirk in congratulating him for his hard work and dedication during the years of service at the City Council. In particular, Mr. Napolitano thanked Mayor Quirk for his attention to the Italian community and for generously promoting multiculturalism in Brisbane. The Consul expressed his sincere satisfaction for the opportunity to continue working with the Lord Mayor elect Adrian Schrinner and his team in order to further strengthen the institutional, economic, social and cultural relations of the City of Brisbane with Italian territories.

Lord Mayor and Lord Mayor elect also expressed their enthusiasm about the constant contribution of the Italian community to Brisbane's multicultural agenda.

On the agenda of the meeting there were many other concrete themes, such as the organization of education exchange programs and cultural events by the Italian Consulate in collaboration with the City Administration, including a photographic exhibition on WWI, which could be inaugurated in Brisbane on November 4th this year.
