Meeting of the Consul with the Minister of Education and Industrial Relations Hon. Grace Grace

Consul Napolitano met today with the Minister of Education and Industrial Relations of Queensland, Hon. Grace Grace, an Italian citizen.

Minister Grace Grace gave her personal welcome to the Consul, declaring to be proud of her origins (her family is from Castiglione di Sicilia) and to enthusiastically participate in the life of the Italian community of Brisbane and Queensland.

The Consul thanked Hon. Grace Grace for her commitment and attention to the Italian community. He also expressed his thanks for the rescue and reconstruction activities performed by the Queensland Government with respect to the floods that occurred in the area of Townsville and Northern Queensland, which affected many members of the Italian community residing in those territories.

During the meeting, Minister Grace and Consul Napolitano agreed to keep on working at fostering the excellent cooperation existing in the education sector (in Australia there is the largest number of Italian students in the world) and in industrial relations, where there is an active presence of several Italian companies benefiting from the opportunities offered by Queensland’s economy.
